To all who come to the wonderful Golden State...eureka! Disney's California Adventure is dedicated to the incredible heritage and beauty of America's 31st state. Here we pay tribute to the richness and diversity of California, from its inspiring immigrants to its illustrious entrepreneurs. We also celebrate the California that never was and always will be. May Disney's California Adventure be a source of excitement and discovery to all who are willing to make this daring journey.
The park's new logo depicts the California sun rising behind the park's name to illuminate the path to a bright future.
As you enter Disney's California Adventure through the turnstiles found at Disney's Hollywood Studios, you see the quintessential Los Angeles street of the 1920s. Buena Vista Street is the Main Street USA of Disney's California Adventure. It's themed to the California Walt Disney saw when he first came here in the 1920s. Along the street, you will find the The Buena Vista Red Car transporting guests to the Hollywoodland. The trolley also passes through small parts of Bountiful Valley Farm. Inside a replica of the Carthay Circle Theatre, one will find Walt Disney: One Man's Dream titled The Walt Disney Story. Unlike Disney's Hollywood Studios (which will be discussed when I cover Walt Disney World), this version's interior will be themed to the lobby of the above-mentioned theatre.
After Buena Vista Street comes Bountiful Valley Farm. This area showcases California's agricultural traditions. At the entrance to the land, guests will find a shortened version of EPCOT Center's Living with the Land. Beyond the boat ride are a group of attractions targeted for kids up to age 7. Henry's Happy Hay-Rides is a track-based ride in which you take a tour of a cartoon-like barnyard. Adventures on the Farm is a live stage show featuring all the characters from Happy Times Farm (the sub-land of Bountiful Valley Farm these attractions are in). Penny's Pumpkin Patch is a kiddie coaster (a la Gadget's Go-Coaster) through Penny the Pig's pumpkin patch. Flik's Flyers from A Bug's Land will remain intact.
Moving into Grizzly Peak, we will start with Big Grizzly Mountain. This is Grizzly River Run given a facelift reminiscent of the Lewis & Clark River Expedition planned for Disney's America. The story behind the attraction is that Prospector Peter has begun to give raft tours of the luscious gold mines he works in. Of course, knowing Prospector Peter's reputation for making mistakes, we take a wrong turn and end up in a pitch black cavern while being viciously hunted by hungry grizzly bears. We escape the bears by going down Sierra Falls and back into the loading dock. The exit gift shop here is The Pacific Mercantile. The long-rumored Soarin' Over the World is here as we fly over such locations as New York, the Great Pyramids of Egypt, the Taj Mahal, Paris, and Disneyland Park. The version of the attraction here will be themed to an airplane hangar offering flights around the world. The queue will showcase California's contributions to aviation history. After an exhilarating ride on Soarin' Over the World, you come across a ride that looks like a familiar Fantasyland classic. You have just come across The Gold Rush. As a good friend of Prospector Peter's, Lucky Larry invites guests to his cabin to help him discover gold. This is the Mad Tea Party of Disney's California Adventure. The Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is given a Native American theme to become The Wintu Creek Wilderness Trail. The trail starts as a walkthrough featuring plants and animals commonly found in the Redwood Forests. At the end of the trail is a modified version of Disneyland Anaheim's old Native American Village where real Native Americans demonstrate their tribal rituals. Located in Fort Kimball (named for Ward Kimball, legendary Disney animator and Imagineer) is The Circle of Hands, in which guests are swept away on a flight through the exciting history of California. This is the American Adventure of Disney's California Adventure.
Mickey's Seaside Village starts with Ariel's Undersea Voyage, as it is currently at DCA. The Golden ZephyrJumpin' Jellyfish, and The Silly Symphony Swings all remain intact. Across the way, Goofy's Sky Skool will be turned 90 degrees to accommodate the pathway to Las Misiones EspaƱolas de California. This attraction is a slow-moving boat ride through the many Spanish missions of California. Housed in a replica of Mission San Luis Rey de Francia, this ride will be the Pirates of the Caribbean of Disney's California Adventure.
Now into Hyperion Wharf (the new name for Paradise Pier), the land will receive a drastic re-theming to become a steam-punk seaside entertainment center of Jules Verne's day, complete with elements from Disneyland Park's cancelled Discovery Bay project. Entering the land from Mickey's Seaside Village, the first attraction we see is The Strength Tower. This is a re-themed version of The Maliboomer designed to look like the classic game found at most carnivals. Mickey's Fun Wheel and Games of the Boardwalk will remain intact while Toy Story Midway Mania! gets the abandoned "Make Al Dance" game concept. In it, you will shoot eggs at the greedy toy collector in his famous chicken suit. In my plans for Disney's California Adventure, Hyperion Wharf will expand south to accommodate The USS Catalina Museum of Nautical Marvels. This walkthrough will be located on a replica of the USS California battleship as a combination of two abandoned concepts: Professor Marvel's Gallery of Illusions for Disneyland Park and The SS Columbia Showcase of Nautical Marvels for Tokyo DisneySea (which exists in my plans for that park). The museum will showcase different items found on the SS Catalina's voyage around the world. King Triton's Carousel of the Sea will be rethemed to Lilo & Stitch's Carousel of the Sea while California Screamin' is renamed The Hyperion Screamer and has increased its speed to 80 mph (128 kph). To the west of The Hyperion Screamer's entrance is a major E-ticket attraction: The Flume of DoomThe Flume of Doom is an indoor flume ride through a haunted fun house. The climax of the ride will be the lift leading up to the main drop with all the ghosts seen on the ride join together to try to "sacre you to death." It will be the Splash Mountain of Disney's California Adventure.
Designer's Note: Although the attraction is located in Hyperion Wharf, the "concept art"of The Hyperion Screamer claims it is in Sunnyside Boardwalk. It says that because it was from an earlier design stage.
Radiator Springs is themed to the town from Pixar's Cars franchise and California's arid deserts. The highlight of the land is The Radiator Springs Racers. Using Test Track technology, you help Lightning McQueen train for the World Grand Prix seen in Cars 2. If you enter the land from Hyperion Wharf, the first attraction you see is Chief Manuelito's Magical Desert, an Audio-Animatronic show hosted by the chief of the Mojave tribe. In the show, he takes us on a tour of the Californian deserts he's learned to love and teaches us how to protect the deserts. This has brought the conservation theme from Disney's Animal Kingdom over to California. Think of it as the Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room of Disney's California Adventure. Next is Tow Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, which has been built just as announced in 2007. Luigi's Roamin' Tires is housed inside a replica of Luigi's Casa Della Tires from the movie Cars.
Entering Hollywoodland from Buena Vista Street will result in Playhouse Disney (Disney Junior): Live on Stage! being the first attraction you see. As part of my plans for the Disney Channel, the show has been updated with scenes from the new shows I will be adding such as Kate & Orbie and BunnytownAcross the way, the synopsis of  Jim Henson's Muppet-Vision 3D has changed to that you're part of the audience for the filming of an episode of The Muppet Show. Using Star Tours' technology to randomize the scenes, elements from the original show will be kept as it's almost never the same show twice! Next to Muppet-Vision will be the return of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?: Play It! Using LCI technology (seen in Turtle Talk with Crush and Monsters Inc Laugh Floor) for the host, the show will have six categories: History/Geography, Science, Literature, Sports, Entertainment, and "Mousellaneous." The four lifelines will be Ask the Audience, Phone a Character, 50/50, and Double Dip. This venue will be used on special occasions to tape episode of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? for public broadcast on ABC and Disney Channel, finally making Hollywoodland a real, working backlot. Replacing Monsters Inc: Mike & Sully to the Rescue will be Phineas & Ferb's Daring Movie Pursuit. In it, guests will go on and adventure with Phineas, Ferb, and their friends through many movie genres featuring a climatic battle scene against several movie villains. The ride will conclude with a romantic scene featuring Phineas and Isabella. This will be the Indiana Jones & the Temple of the Forbidden Eye of Disney's California Adventure. To the left of Phineas & Ferb's Daring Movie Pursuit is James Bond's Super Spy Stuntacular!. Similar to The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! at Disney's Hollywood Studios, this show reveals how the stunts you see in action/adventure movies are choreographed and shot on camera. Between James Bond and Phineas & Ferb is a replica of Florida's Earful Tower, replacing the Disney's Hollywood Studios logo with the logo for Disney's California Adventure. Aladdin will be evicted from the Hyperion Theatre to house The Mickey Mouse Musical Revue, coming back from Yesterland/Walt Dated World. It won't be the same from 1971 for the songs in this version are "Heigh-Ho," "The Mickey Mouse Club March," When You Wish Upon A Star,""A Whole New World," "Hakuna Matata," "Under the Sea," "Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf?," "I'm Wishing," "The Silly Song," "Dig A Little Deeper," "The Three Caballeros," Bippidi-Boppidi-Boo," "So This Is Love," and "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah." Down Hollywood Boulevard, the new version of The Magic of Disney Animation features a short film about the animation process. This film is based off of the old Back to Neverland film used in Florida until 2004. The film stars Timon from The Lion King and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. After the film, guests will find themselves in an ImageWorks-type area at the end of the tour. Last but not least, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror has been refurbished to include some darker elements, including demons and having the elevator plummet straight to hell, where all of the menacing Hollywood celebrities reside after they die.
Well, that's the way it is until next time!

To all who come to this happy place: welcome!  Disneyland is your land.  Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future.  Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.
As we walk through the gates of the original Disney theme park, we feel excitement in the air as Disneyland Park has just come out of a MASSIVE refurbishment. Almost everything was changed. Bu don't worry; these are all good changes. Passing under the train depot, the first of seven magical lands we come across is Main Street USA. In Town Square, The Disneyland Gallery presents "Imagineering Magic the World Over," which explains how Disney Imagineers design theme parks around the world.  Turning right, we enter a new subland of Main Street USA: Liberty Lane, themed to colonial Philadelphia circa 1776. The first attraction here, replacing Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, is One Nation Under God, a new version of The Hall of Presidents, complete with two songs from EPCOT Center's The American Adventure: "Two Brothers" and "Golden Dream." Next is Benjamin Franklin Tonight, a show in which Philadelphia's most famous statesman and inventor shares his philosophies with all who will listen. Rounding out Liberty Lane is Paul Revere's Midnight Ride. Join Paul Revere on his legendary quest to warn George Washington and his troops of British forces. Exiting Liberty Lane at 3:00PM, we see a new version of Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams marching up Main Street USA and into Fantasyland. There are also arcades to Adventureland and Tomorrowland that allows guests to bypass the traffic on Main Street USA during the parade. The Penny Arcade returns with the traditional games plus turn-of-the-century versions of contemporary video games. In the candy-striped tent by Sleeping Beauty Castle is Mickey's Big Top. This bonanza of a circus, featuring your favorite Disney characters, is sure to put a smile on your face.
Adventureland hosts seven attractions: Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, which remains unchanged, The Magic Carpets of Agrabah, replacing Aladdin's Oasis, a revamped version of The Jungle Cruise (more on that later), The Big Game Safari Shooting Gallery, a shooting gallery in which you shoot at big game such as lions, tigers, and elephants, The Swiss Family Treehouse, which evicts Tarzan, Raging Spirits, which resembles the Indy Mine Cart concept from the early 1990s rather than its Japanese counterpart, and Indiana Jones & the Temple of the Forbidden Eye, which remains largely unchanged. Raging Spirits and Indiana Jones & the Temple of the Forbidden Eye are joined together much like Indy was with the Mine Cart attraction in the Indiana Jones & the Lost Expedition concept.
New Orleans Square changes its name to Cajun Square while the Blue Bayou restaurant become's Tiana's Place.  The only change here is the addition of a musical based on The Princess & the Frog tucked in between Pirates of the Caribbean and the railroad depot.
In Frontierland, Critter Country is removed to make room for The Redemption River Expedition, a Splash Mountain-style version of The Western River Expedition based on the critically acclaimed video game Red Dead Redemption. This ride will also be found in Magic Kingdom Park, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland Australia, Mumbai Disneyland, Disneyland Brazil, Disneyland Dubai, and Shanghai Disneyland. Wedged in between The Redemption River Expedition and The Hungry Bear Lodge is The Adventures of Davy Crockett, a dark ride based on the titular TV show from the 1950s. The canoes are renamed The Native American War Canoes while the dock is moved closer to a revived version of The Golden Horseshoe Saloon Revue. Big Thunder Ranch is replaced by the Buffalo Bill's Wild West Spectacular show from Disney Village in Paris.
Fantasyland replaces Snow White's Scary Adventures with The Quest for the Black Cauldron, a classic dark ride based on the 1985 film The Black Cauldron. Sleeping Beauty Castle gets Tokyo's paint job. Peter Pan's Flight's name changes to Peter Pan's Flight to NeverlandThe Mad Tea Party is rethemed to Mrs. Potts' Dancing Cupboard because there is already one Alice in Wonderland-themed attraction in Fantasyland (the dark ride). The Motor Boat Cruise comes back as The Super Mario Cruise, an interactive boat ride where you shoot at Goombas and Koopas with Mario and Luigi in order to save Princess Peach. You receive coins instead of points on this interactive attraction. Since I removed Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters from Tomorrowland, this will be the main interactive attraction at Disneyland Park. I know what you're probably thinking; Mario isn't owned by Disney. That's true, but so aren't Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Avatar. It's A Small World will get a massive overhaul as part of this refurbishment of Disneyland Park. This same overhaul will also be added to the existing versions of the attractions and will be the basis for the versions of the attraction in the parks that I design.  In place of The Fantasyland Theatre is a clone of Tokyo's Pooh's Hunny Hunt while a clone of The Seven Dwarfs' Mine Train replaces The Casey Jr. Circus Train. Also returning is The Skyway to Tomorrowland with the completely enclosed cabins from Tokyo, just to make sure there are no accidents whatsoever.
Three major changes coem to Mickey's Toontown in the forms of a walkthrough based on Oswald the Lucky Rabbit's house, the return of The Jolly Trolley, and the addition of a California Screamin'-style rollercoaster themed to Darkwing Duck called The Mystery Mask Mission.
Tomorrowland goes back to its Saarinen look from 1967, only with Tokyo's monolith/mural design. The mural on the Star Tours side of the promenade remains the same while the one on the Circle-Vision 360 side is replaced by a replica of Bob McCall's "The Prologue & The Promise" from EPCOT Center's New Horizons. Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters is removed to make room for the west coast debut of O Canada!, the Circle-Vision 360 film from EPCOT Center's World Showcase.
Designer's Note: At the end of EPCOT Center's version of the film, Martin Short says you can get to Canada if you "hook a left towards the big, silver ball. For Disneyland Park's version, he would say "hook a right  towards the big, brown castle." Also, when he brings up Canadian entertainers, Justin Bieber is added to the montage.
Astro Orbitor is renamed Astro Jets while it moves back to the pedestal in the middle of Tomorrowland. The Tomorrowland PeopleMover provides a narrated tour of Tomorrowland using The Rocket Rods' propulsion method, only at a much slower speed. Footage from the Endor trip become some possible choices on Star Tours.  The only major change to Captain EO is the replacement of the "Making of Captain EO" preshow by the "True Colors" video from Honey, I Shrunk the Audience! The film has been converted to Disney Digital 3D while the special effects from 1986 have returned to join the special effects from 2010. This change is also be seen at every other park that has Captain EO. The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter is replaces Redd Rockett's Pizza Port while a new version of Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress is added in the former Innoventions building. The Skyway to Fantasyland returns with the same changes mentioned above. Autopia is rethemed to an intergalactic NASCAR speedway and given the name The Disneyland Intergalactic Speedway.  The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is rethemed to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. A new fleet of monorails include blue, red, green, yellow, purple, pink, orange, white, and black trains.
Well, that's the way it is until next time!
